Spain: Workshop on EuroPsy and EuroPsy Specialist in Psychotherapy Supervision

On June 23 2018, at the Consejo General de la Psicologia in Madrid, the EuroPsy NAC and the S-NAC in Psychotherapy have held a free workshop for the chairs of the sections of Psychotherapy of the Regional Colegios.  

Were also attending the event, guests invited from the Portuguese Order: Its President Dr. Francisco Rodrigues and a member of the Executive Council Dr. Teressa Espassandim.  

The main objectives of the workshop were to go forward with the snowball process of supervisors training in accordance with the guidelines of the Competencies Model and to take benefit from the huge experience of the attendees to integrate their knowledge in future seminars.

The workshop was designed by Dr. José M.Peiro, Dr. José Ramos, Dr. Annette Kreuz and given by Dr. Ramos and Dr. Kreuz with the full collaboration of the National Division of Psychotherapy . 

First EuroPsy workshop Supervision Training for Trainers at EFPA’s Head Office on May 25, 2018

This first workshop ‘Designing and running supervisor training courses: best practice recommendations’ was initiated by EuroPsy EAC chair Dr. Rosaleen McElvaney after a very successful conference on Supervision in Ljubljana/Slovenia organised by our Slovenian colleagues in August 2017 (see http://www.europsy.eu/news/1st-conference-supervised-practice-psychologists)

The following items were discussed :

• Overview of supervision definitions & research         
• Content & methods of supervisor training         
• Recommendations for best practice in training         
• Outline of a supervisor training course         
• Main areas of training course content         
• Overview / Exercises / Discussion / Sharing experience        
• Evaluation of training

EuroPsy ceremony at Université Montpellier III (Montpellier, France) on Feb 10, 2018

Congratulations to new EuroPsy holders in France!

Montpellier, February 10 2018. Ceremony of awarding the EuroPsy certificate to 12 young professionals, supervised by Brigitte Garric and David Chapelle with the support of the network of EuroPsy in Languedoc Roussillon.

German Association of Psychologists (BDP) presents updated course list of psychology

Since 2008, the Professional Association of German Psychologists e.V. (BDP) has been reviewing all psychology trainings offered in Germany. Among other things, the total amount of psychological teaching content and the inclusion of the core subjects are taken into account. In the assessment, the BDP is based on the criteria of the European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy), which are established by the European Federation of Psychologists Associations EFPA.

"The growing number of courses offered by private and public universities is making it increasingly difficult for students of psychology to find their way. With our list of trainings we want to facilitate the decision-making for an undergraduate psychology study. In addition, by assessing the criteria of the EuroPsy, we ensure comparability at the European level, "explains BDP President Prof. Dr. Michael Krämer.

The recognized study programs form the basis for admission to the Professional Association of German Psychologists e.V. (BDP).
