Current Situation of Psychotherapy in Spain
The Division of Psychotherapy (DP) of the General Council of Psychology (COP) began its journey after its approval on June 28, 2014.
Once the Board of Directors of that Division was established, the importance of establishing the objectives and projects for its development. British Psychological Society and Mental Health Foundation sign Memorandum of Cooperation
17 January 2018
The British Psychological Society (BPS) are pleased to announce that they have signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Mental Health Foundation (MHF). This partnership between the two organisations will allow us to undertake research, knowledge exchange, and joint policy development work, with a focus on prevention to improve mental health and wellbeing in the UK. It also represents a commitment to the shared values of social justice, equality, and human rights.
Alongside the MHF, we will work towards common objectives that include facilitating the application, exchange, and dissemination of research results to ensure maximum impact, and amplifying each other's messages through our communication channels.
Andrea Finkel-Gates, Director of Qualifications and Standards at the BPS, said: "In working together, the Society and the MHF intend to inform the debate and ensure that psychology is used to provide robust evidence in the development of policy in this key area. "This is an exciting collaboration, and one which I very much look forward to seeing grow as our partnership develops."
The memorandum of cooperation was signed at a Parliamentary event, hosted by SNP MP Dr Lisa Cameron, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Psychology.
