Annual EuroPsy EFPA Chairs Meeting March 2018
Croatia, Sweden and Poland now ready to award EuroPsy
The annual EuroPsy Meeting for the chairs of each National Awarding Committee, and Specialised National awarding Committee successfully took place in Brussels on the 9th of March 2018. During the meeting various topics regarding the EuroPsy were discussed, such as Specialist Certificates in Psychotherapy and Working & Organisational Psychology, as well as issues surrounding supervised practice, continued professional development (CPD), future directions, and much more.
Dr. Mark Forshaw was welcomed in joining EFPA’s European Awarding Committee (EAC) this year, the committee is very excited to work closely with Dr. Forshaw on issues regarding the EuroPsy. The EAC announced that a further three National Awarding Committees; Croatia, Sweden and Poland, have been approved to award the EuroPsy certificate. In the later part of the meeting, Dr. Forshaw ran a workshop on ‘CPD and the EuroPsy’, Prof. Ype Poortinga also offered a workshop on ‘How to Start a National Awarding Committee- step by step’. Both programmes were very well received by those attending.
Finally it was announced that Dr. Aisling McMahon will be conducting a workshop on ‘Designing and running supervisor training courses: Best practice recommendations’, which will take place in Brussels on the 25th of May 2018. All members were thanked for attending another successful meeting aimed at developing the EuroPsy.

On November 17 and 18, the headquarters of the General Council of Psychology of Spain hosted several meetings , which were attended by: the National Accreditation Committee of EuroPsy, Specialist in Psychotherapy, Basic EuroPsy and Specialist in Work and Occupational Psychology, the Organizations (PTO), as well as the Board of Directors of the Division of Psychotherapy and the Division of Work Psychology, Organizations and Human Resources (PTORH) of the COP.
In the context of these meetings, on Saturday 18 the seminar entitled "The supervision of professional competences within the framework of the European Psychology Certificate" was held, a practical workshop given by the psychologists José M. Peiró and José Ramos.
The objective was to address the professional competences included in the EuroPsy model, and to analyze the various descriptive indicators that allow to evaluate in a comprehensible and reasonably objective way.
The workshop was of great interest for all attendees, both for the relevance of its contents and for its approach and analysis, all in favor of the good quality of the EuroPsy Certificate.

Workshop for Work & Organisation psychologists in Valencia

The workshop was drawn up by Dr. Jose M. Peiró and Dr. José Ramos and coordinated by M. Berdullas (COP Madrid). The training was offered for free for Work & Organisation Psychologists from each regional colegios, ( one for each ‘colegio’). They will become the expert coordinators for the workshops that will be offered to EuroPsy Registered Psychologists in the different regional COPs.
Executive council visits congress site ECP 2019 in Moscow

The EC visited the congress site of the next European Congress of psychology 2019 in a very cold Moscow and met the organizing committee of the ECP 2019. The scientific program and the tracks, the proposed keynote speakers as well as the presentation of a new award were discussed with our Russian colleagues, Anna Leybina, Aleksander Veraksa and Sergej Leonov.
The meeting was hosted by the president Yuri Zinchenko and several other members of the Russian Psychological Society who offered a working dinner on the roof of the Moscow State University with a magnificent view on the Kremlin.
