The Executive Council of EFPA would like to congratulate Prof. Francisco Pons for being elected to be the first winner of the Lev Vygotsky award 2019.
On behalf of the Lev Vygotsky Selection Committee, the chair Prof. Telmo Baptista stated that the award was given to Professor Pons :
For his expertise on the development of emotional competence from Western and non-Western cultures and the integration of developmental research and educational practices at school.
For his co-authorship of the Test of Emotion Comprehension, which has been translated to 25 languages.
Professor Francisco Pons is an accomplished scholar, with more than 110 articles published and several teaching posts in universities all over the world.
