The Executive Council of EFPA (European Federation of Psychologists Associations) would like to congratulate Prof. Gollwitzer for being elected to be the winner of the Wilhelm Wundt-William James Award 2019.
On behalf of the Wundt-James Award Selection Committee, the chair Prof. Telmo Baptista stated the following :
Professor Gollwitzer is a worthy winner of the award because of his significant contributions to different areas of Psychology like unconscious goals, the self, motivation and translational psychology.
Professor Gollwitzer influence is well stated by the impact of his more than 300 articles that put him at as one of the top influencers in Psychology.
The concept of implementation intentions is a major contribute in the promotion of a wide variety of behaviors.
The impact of the work of Prof. Gollwitzer extends beyond the academia to policy making and achieving the public good.
